For children, there are outings possible on miniature ponies or then suitable riding courses. For teenagers and adults, our horse-riding centres put on half-day outings for novices year-round. An instructor will accompany you in complete safety, explaining the principles behind horse trekking. You’ll learn the relevant equestrian vocabulary and how to put on a saddle or pat and wash your horse or pony. If you go a stage further, learning to trot or gallop on your holidays, you’ll feel you’re really making progress with your equestrian skills.

If you’ve always been passionate about horses and you’re a seasoned rider, head off on waymarked bridlepaths across the Eure, or even on the regional trekking routes right across Normandy. Make the most of the many specialist equestrian gîtes dotted along these routes, providing your steed with the facilities it deserves. For a weekend in the Eure, you can enjoy some lovely riding outings. On your horse, galop along the trails crossing our valleys and running beside our rivers, exploring the hundreds of hectares of our protected natural areas. You’ll be surprised by the quality of our equestrian centres and their warm welcome. As you’ll know, riding is more than a passion, it’s a way of life!
