In Verneuil d'Avre et d'Iton, a town with a rich medieval heritage, visit the church and its famous 56 metre-high bell tower!

The construction of St Madeleine's Church started at the same time as the foundation of Verneuil itself by Henry Beauclerc, Duke of Normandy and King of England, at the beginning of the 12th century. The tower was built at the end of the 15th century and then reached about 15 metres high. The Madeleine Tower is now the symbol of the town: it is when night falls and its lights are turned on that the Tower, seen from miles away, reveals its wonderful details...

The Tourist Information Centre regularly organizes visits of the tower which provides the opportunity to admire five centuries of history from above, a breathtaking panoramic view!
