In Bernay, a city of Art and History, travel through time, from Antiquity until today, thanks to the arts.

Adjoining the magnificent abbey church, which is the first example of Romanesque architecture in Normandy, the municipal museum has been located in the former abbot's house since 1891. It is one of the rare museum in France that has kept its 19th century display method. You will admire diverse collections: Rouen, Nevers, Moustiers and Delft tin-glazed earthenware, 17th and 18th century furniture, French, Italian, Flemish and Dutch centuries), Egypt archaeology, Gallo-Roman art, contemporary art, religious art, etc.

Good to know: one Sunday afternoon every three months, adults and children are welcomed for a free family visit of the exhibitions and collections with a lecture, or a tour associated to a workshop.
