Towns and villages of character
- LES ANDELYS
The gateway to the Vexin Normand, Les Andelys is Richard the Lionheart's town.
Located between the river Seine and the ruins of Château-Gaillard, the town of Les Andelys consists of the Young Andely and the Old Andely. Follow the bank of the river Seine to Saint Jacques' Hospital and walk down to Place Saint-Sauveur and its church. Follow the Promenade des Prés and walk along the Grand Rang, which links the Petit and the Grand Andelys. The walk ends with Notre Dame Collegiate Church and its 16th century stained-glass windows. Complete your visit with the Nicolas Poussin Museum. Do not miss the stunning panoramic view from the castle.
