The river Seine possesses an outstanding natural heritage. Sensitive Natural Areas, nature trails and nature reserves will allow you to learn more about these precious ecosystems.

"Les Coteaux de Giverny" Sensitive Natural Area 


2 nature trails, each 5 km long (3 miles), leave from Giverny: the Sentier du Lézard Vert (Green Lizard Trail) and the Sentier de l’Astragale (Astragalus Trail) will allow you to discover the species living there and the ways in which the hills were formerly used.


"Le Sentier des Vallons" Sensitive Natural Area in Vironvay


Panoramic views, sheep, orchids, screes, etc., the Sentier des Vallons (Vales Trail) invites you to admire the beauty of the Seine Valley landscapes, to become familiar with the fauna and flora found in the calcareous grassland and learn about the measures undertaken to preserve them.
